State Fair

You go to the State Fair anticipating to see the farm animals and attractions and then you realize that the actual attractions you end up watching the most are the people themselves walking around. It can be kind of entertaining to people watch when you are sitting at a bench eating your hot dog and fries that cost you $18 and sipping down your Dr. Pepper that cost you $4.50. We now know after asking on our way out that you can bring in coolers. Next year we will be packing our own drinks and food!

Mackenzie was excited to see all the animals!

Like mother like daughter. Unfortunately Mackenzie has the bug for horses like her mom. This hobby is one I will be sharing with her, because after she was done riding the ponies she ran over and asked her dad for a horse, of coarse I told her yes! If only having horses wasn't so expensive I would have a bunch!

I think I also passed on to Mackenzie my stomach for rides like this, she wouldn't let her dad spin the dragon cause it made her "tummy" hurt. Oh well at least we can still do the roller coasters together!

No, no, this is not a picture of my back end! Although this is how I am feeling right now. This cute guys name is 'Big Red' and he weighs just under 3000lbs! He also stands 6ft tall at his shoulder but he never stood up for us when we were there, I guess I wouldn't either if I had that much weight to hold up.

I really don't like pictures of me right now, oh well. I couldn't believe how tame this big guy was, deep down it made me want to buy a farm somewhere and have a bunch of animals. I am a big country girl at heart!

Hi Ellen! You are so cute! I didn't know you are a horse girl, me too! But I think we have the same problem, not enough $! If I come into millions, I will buy ya one. I guess really that's the least expensive part. But ya. Your little gal is so darn cute! Looks like you had fun! LoR
PS congrats on the baby... : )

You know there are a lot of farms and ranches here in Texas. You could even have lots of horses too. We laughed about the people watching comment. Our county fair is this week here in Lubbock. I am dragging Jim to it.

I love going to the fair just to watch the people. It is crazy what kind of people come out of the works. I starved myself and gave the boys some food because I obviously couldn't starve them. That's good to know about the coolers. Thanks again for dealing with me when I worked with you at AF. I don't know why I felt so out of place when that is where I came from. Maybe it is all the expectations I feel. Have a great night.
